Australia's World Heritage listed Fraser Island - the world's largest sand island - is no desert!

 

Fraser Island misst 120km mal 15km und ist damit die größte Sandinsel der Welt.

Obwohl es keine befestigten Straßen auf Fraser Island gibt, besuchen etwa 20.000 Autos jährlich die Insel (Stand: 1998).
